Dear CEO Mueller and MHCAH Board of Directors,

An overwhelming majority of Maine Healthcare at Home’s unionized employees have signed a Petition of No Confidence in their senior management. This comes after nearly two years of this leadership team creating a hostile, retaliatory work environment with little to no support for clinicians.

Recently, this management group suspended six and terminated two longtime nurses and clinicians, all of them known to be strong patient advocates and outspoken union members. In doing so, Maine Health leadership is silencing clinicians’ voices and harming patient care. Despite committing to cover patient visits during this time, the senior leadership instead did nothing, abandoning more than 20 pediatric patients. These children and their families received no visits or communication for nearly a month.

We need leadership that is supportive, competent and lives up to the values espoused by Maine Health. For the sake of safe patient care and respect for your frontline caregivers, please take the actions requested by your own employees:

· Immediately remove and replace the senior managers at Maine Healthcare at Home.
· Immediately reinstate and make whole the employees who were recently fired by this senior management group.

Nurses and clinicians at MHCAH are calling on Andy Mueller, the CEO of Maine Health, to hold the senior MHCAH managers accountable for these unjust actions.
